“Harrier of the 9th Squadron” depicts AV-8B Harrier II Plus number 01-927, operated by the Spanish Navy – 9th Squadron, one of the most emblematic units in Spanish naval aviation. The artwork seeks to capture not only the aircraft’s unmistakable character, but also the visual strength of an aircraft designed to operate in demanding environments and from naval platforms.
Since entering service, the Harrier has become one of the most recognisable symbols of modern military aviation. Its compact silhouette, distinctive air intakes and extraordinary operational capability have earned it a very special place in aviation history.
