THE WARTHOG — Fairchild Republic A-10C Thunderbolt II
Few military aircraft possess a silhouette as instantly recognisable or a personality as distinctive as the Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II.
Universally known as the “Warthog”, the A-10 was developed specifically for close air support missions, where the ability to operate at low altitude, withstand significant damage and remain close to ground forces was essential.
“The Warthog” depicts an A-10C Thunderbolt II belonging to the 74th Fighter Squadron “Flying Tigers” of the United States Air Force, captured from a dynamic perspective intended to convey the unmistakable character of this aircraft.
One of the A-10’s defining features is its formidable 30 mm GAU-8/A Avenger rotary cannon, which has become almost a symbol of the aircraft itself. Its combination of firepower, ruggedness and ability to operate in demanding conditions has helped give the Thunderbolt II a unique reputation within modern military aviation.

Because of the delicate nature of graphite and traditional media, original artworks are never rolled. They are carefully protected using archival materials and rigid supports before being securely packaged for transport.
A professional framing service is available on request for collectors who wish to receive the artwork fully framed and ready to display.
